The Future is Electrifying
The future of trucking has been revealed, and it’s shocking! Meet the all-new 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV in the RST trim, the first full-size electric pickup introduced to the Chevrolet lineup in Fall of 2023. Built on GM’s highly touted Ultium platform, the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado EV was built from the ground up to change the pickup truck world with new power, force, flexibility, and an extensive range of possibilities. Combined with its class-leading 640 kilometers of range, and strong starting price at $52,448 (CAD) for the Work Truck (WT) trim, the Silverado EV is set to revolutionize the automotive industry.
Performance, Range, and Battery
The Silverado EV is assembled like no other Silverado before it. In fact, it’s built on a narrower version of the GMC Hummer EV’s underpinnings. This means that the Silverado EV is equipped with independent front and rear suspension front and rear electric motors, and an available 200.0kWh battery pack with 640 kilometers of range. The Silverado EV is also capable of charging at 800 volts and 350 kW that allowing it to add 161 kilometers in just 10 minutes according to Chevrolet. From the performance perspective, the Silverado EV RST offers a whopping 660 horsepower with 0-60 mph in just under 4.5 seconds. This is also coupled with its impressive 780 lb-ft of torque, capable of towing up to 10,000 lbs, incredible figures for a truck of this size.
Multi-Flex Mid-Gate with Pass-Through
The Silverado EV offers advanced capabilities with its folding mid gate design providing users with multiple options to store exactly what they need in their Silverado EV. In the standard bed, you can fill items up to 5 ft. 11 inches. With the seats down, you get a 60/40 split to make room for even larger items with up to 9 feet in space and still have room for a passenger in the back. Lastly, for those extra-long items, you can use the Multi-Flex Mid-Gate with Pass-Through with the Multi-Flex Tailgate to take advantage of piling in items that are over 10 feet in length.
Advanced Technology and Features
Of course with a new Silverado, comes new advanced technology within the truck. On the RST trim, the Silverado EV comes equipped with a newly designed 17-inch diagonal free-form infotainment screen with built-in Google Assistant allowing you to stay connected while driving. Lastly, across all Silverado EVs comes standard Chevrolet Safety Assist features including; Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, Intellibeam High Beam Assist, and a Following Distance Indicator.
